顾晓松教授是先进医用材料与医疗器械全国重点实验室主任,国家药品监督管理局组织工程技术产品研究与评价重点实验室主任获首届国家杰出青年科学基金,2015年当选中国工程院院士,2019年任中国医学科学院学部委员。三十多年来,他带领学术团队在组织工程与神经再生研究方面取得突出创新性研究成果:提出“构建生物可降解组织工程神经”的学术观点,被作为新的理念载入英国剑桥大学新版教科书;发明了构建组织工程神经的新技术和新工艺;壳聚糖人工神经移植物应用于临床,效果优良,获国家药品监督管理局批准注册上市(国械标准20203130898),入选“中国2020年度重要医学进展”,获中国发明专利及美国、欧亚、澳大利亚等国际发明专利,为我国组织工程神经的创新与转化应用进入国际领先地位发挥着重要作用。Science杂志撰文称“顾教授在世界上第一个将壳聚糖神经移植物应用于临床,第一个转化人工神经研究进入临床,是组织工程神经转化医学开拓者”。

  主持863项目、973课题和国家自然科学基金重点项目,主持面向2035的我国再生医学创新与产业发展战略研究重点咨询项目;获中国发明专利12项,国际发明专利5项;发表SCI学术论文260余篇,学术论文被CellScienceNatureNature materialsNature Medicine等权威期刊引用和评述,他引6000多次;研究成果被载入国际英文专著与教材90多部;多次应邀在世界再生医学峰会、材料科学大会、香山会议、战略性新兴产业培育与发展、医疗器械创新与产业发展等论坛作特邀报告;获国家技术发明二等奖(排名第一),省部级一、二等成果奖5项。2014年获何梁何利科学与技术进步奖。2017年获全国创新争先奖。2020年入选全球前2%顶尖科学家“年度影响力”榜单(神经科学领域),连续多年入选爱思唯尔(Elsevier)中国高被引学者榜单。

2022年任中国工程院医药卫生学部常委。是中国生物医学工程学会副理事长,中国解剖学会名誉理事长,中国医院协会临床新技术应用专业委员会主任委员,世界重建显微外科学会创会会员,国际英文杂志Curr Stem Cell Res Ther副主编。
